Sarcura, an innovative start-up located at the xista science park in Klosterneuburg, is on a mission to revolutionize the manufacturing of cell therapies through automation and miniaturization using cutting-edge silicon technologies integrated in microfluidic cartridges.

YOUR ROLE
The Senior Staff Engineer will be responsible for simulations/design/prototyping of materials, devices, and circuits for cell therapy development and manufacturing. You will lead pioneering research, design, and fabrication of devices tailored for cell sorting applications. The ideal candidate will have ​8+ years of experience developing and optimizing device functionality, reliability, and manufacturability along the entire product development lifecycle leveraging key principles and advancements in solid state physics devices and materials.
What you bring
  • 8+ years of experience in research and development of solid-state physics devices and systems from concept to high volume manufacturing.
  • Relevant industry experience in product development, preferably in semiconductor devices, MEMS, optoelectronics, or related fields.
  • Experience in progressively responsible roles within the semiconductor device and MEMS field, demonstrating leadership, innovation, and a track record of successful project delivery.
  • Understanding of material properties, selection, characterization techniques, and their impact on device performance.
  • Identify, analyze, evaluate, solve, and anticipate complex problems. Apply advanced analytical thinking skills to solve complex problems, drive improvements, and make informed decisions that align with organizational goals.
  • Proficient in the ability to collect, process, interpret and communicate data in order to make informed decisions.
  • Consistently demonstrated curiosity, self-reflection, and a commitment to ongoing development.
